Vows 3/24/2017

The Lord gave me this message: “It is time to pay your vows! Many make vows in times of duress, which they never pay. They say: “Oh Lord, if you only will do this for me, I will do what you want me to do.” But when I do what they ask of Me, then they forget my goodness and turn away. I allow certain situations in order to get your attention, so that you might turn to Me and I can save you. My desire is you would serve Me for who I am because you love Me. A heart that is filled with love rejoices over the opportunity to serve. Many of you choose to seek Me and serve Me because you truly love Me, but not all love Me in this way. Still, I love them. In My goodness, I reach out to them, but they are focused only on themselves, their needs, their wants. I must get their attention, by allowing them to get into a situation which they cannot handle by themselves in order to force them to look to Me. For a short while they comply. They bargain with Me in order to get relief. They vow to serve Me, to love Me, but soon after, when the crisis is over, they go their way again.”

“Tell them the time of paying vows has come. They may heed the warning and willingly surrender to pay their vow, but if they will not, I will collect on their debt. I keep My Word, but many fail theirs. It is time to establish good credit. I have extended your period of grace over and over again, still you do not come and freely pay your vow. In My Word it states that it is better not to make a vow, then to make one and not keep it. Ask yourselves why. A vow must be paid. It is a contract entered into which must be fulfilled. I keep My Word. You must keep yours as well if you are to become like Me. You may pay your vow willingly, or you will pay it under demand. Which is easier? Use wisdom.”

“In all this, My purpose is to bless you. My will for you is good, but you resist foolishly. You do not understand. Your way leads to destruction. Should I, your loving Father, leave you to that way? Would you not do all which is necessary in order to spare your child? Do you accuse Me of being cruel because I desire you to be responsible in keeping your word? You require this of your own children. I require it of you. Pay your vow willingly, or I will call it for collection. The choice is yours, says the Lord.”      Script. Ref: Prov. 20:25; Eccl. 5:1-6

Personal note: When we make a vow before the Lord, we are responsible to keep it. We cannot later decide it is not important, or simply make excuses, believing God “understands”. He created us to be in His image, after His likeness. His desire is to transform us into the image of His Son. If we are to be like Him, we must keep our word, as He keeps His. If we made a vow in haste, presumptuously, in a moment of stress, without considering whether it is possible to be kept, we are in obligation to fulfill the vow. The only one who can release us from the vow is the Lord Himself. We sin when we make vows in the flesh, without seeking first His will, that we cannot keep. The solution for sin is repentance. The only way to deal with a broken vow is to repent, ask His forgiveness for our foolishness. Jesus told a parable of a man who owed a great debt, who when he found that he could not pay, he went to the Lord and asked for patience, and promised he would pay his debt. The master, moved by compassion, forgave him the debt and released him from it. But foolishly he went out and found a servant who owed him much less, and when the servant asked for forgiveness, he did not forgive him. He was punished for his lack of compassion. (Mt. 18:23-34)

The Bible also tells us that God forgives all our sins, but we must recognize our sin and confess it. (I John 1:9)

By not keeping our vow, we are in sin. If we do not acknowledge this and repent before the Lord, we are in rebellion. If we are in rebellion, we leave the door open to the enemy. The Bible tells us not to give place to the devil. (Eph. 4:27)

Reflection: 4/1/2017

In this life if you live long enough, if you listen to God's leading, you gain some insight, some wisdom. How I wish I knew then what I know now! Life doesn't come with instructions, (although God has given an instruction book, which many do not read.) We all want to be happy, to be loved, to have our lives mean something. How do we achieve this? Jesus gave us the secret when He said to love God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind; and then to love your neighbor as yourself. Simple instructions! Put God first! Learn to love you for who you are so you can love your neighbor as yourself.  Here's the problem: we get so absorbed in what we don't like about ourselves, that it consumes our focus on anyone else. God did not say to build a “perfect” you so you can love yourself. If you focus on being “perfect” you only set yourself up for misery. You are constantly seeing flaws and trying to fix them. Jesus meant for you to learn to accept yourself and love yourself as you are. Free yourself from the constant “what do I look like”, “Why don't people like me” mentality. Not everyone is going to like you. We are all so different, so unique, like our fingerprints, one of a kind. We were designed this way. Why should we stress over it? Why should we spend a lifetime trying to change, to be like someone else? Embrace your uniqueness!

I wish someone would have taught me these things when I was young. Oh the suffering it would have kept me from. I hated me for years. I couldn't look in the mirror, because all I saw were my flaws. I was obsessed with “if I can just change me, maybe someone will love me.” I am not alone in this. So many suffer from this delusion. In never accepting ourselves, we look to one thing or another to fill the gap, to drown our sorrow over not being “perfect”. We get an image of what we believe is perfect; a certain body type, certain features, certain attributes, and then we start looking to see if we measure up. How could we possibly measure up to a pattern other than our own? It's like snowflakes being jealous because they aren't like one particular snowflake. We are all created to be different. The beauty is in our uniqueness. A person who learns to focus on loving God, accepting His plan and design for their life, is suddenly free to let love flow out from them to others. No longer self focused, self obsessed, we are free to focus on others. Instead of life being such a stress of perfection, we come to terms with the imperfections and accept them. We become satisfied with who we are, content. We can move on to our true purpose, just to be; to be grateful, to love life, and to be a reflection of that love to others. You don't have to be perfect to be loved.

If we wish to have a role model to model ourselves by, there is only one perfect one, everyone else is as flawed as we are. (Some flaws are just more visible than others). The only one who was without flaw was Jesus. Maybe that is why He said to put God first. He loved us in spite of our flaws. He was trying to tell us to do the same thing. Focusing on your flaws makes life all about you. There's no room for any one else. You become self absorbed in your drive for perfection. Instead of reaching out and joining together, we become our own little island, isolated and miserable. The very thing we are longing for eludes us because we have become the obstacle in the path to our own happiness.  Have you ever noticed that puzzle pieces are all different? Yet they were meant to fit together, each in their own unique way, to form a bigger picture. Be you! Be the best you that you can be! How? By following the only model you should be looking to, Jesus! Love Him, and let His love embrace you and flow in and through you out towards others. Then you will “fit in” to the big picture.

Stop Complaining and Start Praying! 7/9/2017

The Lord woke me early today and has been ministering to me. Here is a word I received for the believer: "Stop complaining and start praying!" We complain about everything from politics on. I know many who complain about the President, and what good does it do? Whether you like him or not, he is the president. Pray for him! Nothing is impossible for God. God is able to give wisdom; God us able to change us, all of us. We need to pray and give it to God. If the believer will spend more time praying than in complaining, we will see great change take place in our nation. God did not call us to complain, or judge, He called us to pray and trust Him. This is in all aspects of our life. Pray for the things that need change, in yourself, your family, your job, your government, the world. Our prayers are going to be answered in a big way this year. This is the time to sow in prayer and reap the results. God is speaking right now to someone: "You are tired from fishing all night and have caught nothing, but the Lord is telling you, go back out; do it again; pray and believe once more; stand in faith, for the time of restoration, reconciliation, and blessings, has come. Only open your mouth in prayer and faith, not in complaints and opinions. Your attitude will determine what you receive. If you will ask, believing, you will see great things happen, but if you continue in negativity, things will remain the same. You reap what you sow."

Message to Humanity on the Goodness of God 9/29/2017

There have been many natural disasters, and a rise of those predicting about these things. That God is showing people these things are going to happen, is not strange. Jesus himself stated these things would increase, earthquakes, great storms, the sun and moon be darkened, in Matthew 24, as well as in Luke 21. This is not a new revelation, however, the occurrence of people having dreams or having God speak concerning these things, seems to be on the increase. The importance of this is not in the knowledge of knowing what is going to happen, or to be reminded of what the Word of God has already said. The important thing is WHY. The Lord woke me last night to meditate on all of these things. If mankind does not understand why, then the purpose becomes irrelevant. If we, as Christians, claim God is revealing this, or “sending judgment”, all we are stating is God is responsible for these horrific events, which prompts people to say, “what kind of God would be so cruel”, or totally dismiss the existence of a God who has any involvement in these events. God wants us to understand why.

Here is one explanation. The universe is in motion, and to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. There are many natural reactions in the universe. Asteroids flying through space, planetary shifting, wind currents, storms, volcanic eruptions, all of which occur naturally, but can be life altering. These things are coming at us all the time, not to mention the additional things that man causes reactions to, like drilling into the earth, setting off nuclear explosions underground, dynamiting and digging tunnels for mining, releasing chemicals into the atmosphere that deplete our ozone layer and causes climate change, wars, etc. All these things can cause terrible catastrophes at any time. God doesn't cause these things, but He has protected us from numerous things coming towards us. Think of His love as a shield, shielding us from all the many things that could happen at any given time. Bad stuff happens! An example is all the drivers out on the road going in all different directions. The possibility of an accident occurring with all that independent movement is inevitable at some point.

God is our shield of love, but what happens when we reject that shield, when we deny Him? If you are motivated by love and goodness to protect someone, and they tell you they don't want your help, what do you do? You warn them of the consequences, you try to make them understand, but inevitably, they have the choice to reject your help and walk away from you. As parents, how many times have we tried to help a grown child who refuses our help? We don't stop loving them, but if they refuse to listen and do things their own way, all we can do is stand by and watch them learn the hard way.

God's mercy and love has saved us from more than we know, and yet many continue to think they are in control, and they can take charge of their own destiny. They deny God, and see no need to acknowledge him, much less thank him. If some do not want his protection, or feel the need of it, the only way to prove their need is to allow them to see what happens without his intervention. If man wants to deny God and be on their own, then they operate without his shield of protection. Their choice, not His.

The natural disasters and tragedies are part of life, increased by our neglect of our world, or as the result of man's inhumanity to man. Mankind has to take responsibility for their own actions, and change. The things which occur that are not because of the result of behavior, things that are beyond control, need to be acknowledged. Humans need the help of the One who is greater. The Bible says God's goodness leads us to repentance. He leads us to change our destructive behavior. The Bible says God is our shield. We need a shield! We need to be thankful for his shield, his love and mercy.

The Bible also says the fool says in his heart, there is no God. Who can stand in the storm of a hurricane, tornado, or earthquake? Who has power over a heart attack or death? We are fools if we think we have no need for God. Many acknowledge God, calling out to him when danger approaches, but when the danger passes, they return to their old ways. Instead of acknowledging him and thanking him for his protection, they begin to boast of how strong, how resilient they are, how they will rebuild, they will overcome. They mock the storm saying: “You tried to destroy us, but we are strong; we survived, and in our determination, we have defeated you!” Acting as if it was because of their strength of character that they have prevailed. How can they boast in pride? Is it not because of the grace of God that any survive?

God wants us to know him. He wants us to have a personal relationship with him. He overcame the great divide our sins and rebellion caused, by sending his Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the price for our sin and rebellion. He extended his hand to us when we rejected him. He extends his shield over us, as a loving father protecting his child. We have the choice to turn to him and cherish him, or deny him and walk away. There are consequences for walking away. How many of us would continue to care for someone who despises us? At some point, wouldn't we sadly stop helping that person? Would we be to blame when they reject our help? God is not to be used...he is to be appreciated and loved. If any thing these tragedies should teach us not to take his goodness for granted. If people continue in the rejection of his sovereignty over them, they are rejecting his goodness and protection. They cannot be angry with him for the consequences of their choice. One of the most wonderful things about God is that he gives man the opportunity to repent, to change their mind, to return to him, and he forgives, not once or twice, but over and over again. God wants us to hide in him, to hide under his shield, like chicks under the wings of the hen. He calls us to come to him, because he desires to save us, not just from this world, but for all eternity.

Are more disasters coming? Inevitably! I could share things God has shown to many, including me, but to what benefit are those revelations if we do not understand the message and purpose behind it all? Jesus said: “In this world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, because I have overcome the world.” He has promised eternal life to all those who believe in him. We will all die, sooner or later, it is an inevitable fact of life. Jesus has made a way for us to live on with him forever. He said: “In my Father's house there are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am, you may be there also.” John 14

Wisdom is realizing we are frail, mortal, and not able to control our world; we need someone who has power, who has overcome the world, even death itself. We need God. He love us, despite of our frailness and rebellion. Those of us who know him, need to be in prayer for those who have not yet come to the knowledge of the truth. We need to show them the great love of God, and help them to understand these truths, so that they too might turn to him and find refuge.

The Voice of Prophesy    9/30/2017

I will raise up a people who will prophesy who will not be afraid to say: “Thus says the Lord”. For until now, there are many of my people who are fearful and unbelieving, but remind them that the lake of fire is for the fearful and unbelieving. My voice shall be heard, and it shall be heard through you, my people. I will speak; I will give message; I will not remain silent. Oh that my people would obey and be willing to be my voice. Can I not speak through whomever I choose? Why do you consider yourself? It has nothing to do with your person, but with Him who desires to speak. You shall be my voice. I will pour out my Spirit upon you and you shall prophesy. Is there anything to hard for the Lord? Be faithful; be willing, and I will bring it to pass. Tell my people: The time is come to be bold and not to shrink back. The time has come to believe and not doubt. The time has come to obey or to be cast aside. Will you obey the Lord your God, or will you fear the face of man? I am setting foundations; I am paving a path; I am building my Kingdom. Who will come and build with Me?”

Call to Spiritual War 10/12/2017

While praying for the many who are being afflicted by cancer, the Lord spoke this: “People are being devoured one by one. Some say, “Where is God? Why does He allow these things?” I say unto you: Where is My church? Where are My warriors? Are you not the army of the Lord? You have become lazy, complacent, moved only when the battle becomes personal for you. Let Me ask you this: Does a soldier fight for his personal protection, or his personal reasons or gain? No! He fights because he has taken an oath to serve and protect his nation, his people. He fights under the orders given by his commander. He sacrifices his personal freedom, his safety, his needs, in order to serve. If an army only obeys their commander and fights when their own home comes under danger, who defends the land? Who defends the defenseless ones? Would not the enemy quickly overtake the land?

Awake! Can you not understand the rise of cancer, the rise of so many diseases, is the work of an enemy who desires to kill, steal, and destroy? You are not powerless! You have been given a weapon. Use it! I gave you authority to use your weapon. It is not for just your own personal use or benefit. It was given to you in order to fight a war! You are called to serve as My soldiers. The enemy will conquer what you allow him to conquer. Stand your ground! Engage the enemy boldly! Push him back! Set his captives free! You have the power to cast the enemy out! You have the power to heal the sick! Stop crying to Me to do something. I said you would do the things I did, and greater things! When will you believe? Crucify your flesh; put away your laziness; repent of your unbelief and selfishness. Answer the call! Do not wait until the enemy knocks at your door. Fight to set others free! Fight for the love of the Kingdom, for the love of others, for the love of God. Do your part, and I will do Mine!”
