Walking Above the Storms of Life         11/15/2006

While praying I saw white puffy clouds. I could see the sun shining and birds were flying and singing praises to the Lord. There was a rainbow over the clouds. The clouds were so thick, like a carpet of cotton, and I was seeing them as if I were on top of them. Then I could see the clouds on the under side, as if from below. They were dark underneath. Above the clouds the sun was shining, everything was beautiful, peaceful, but on the earth below it was a very different picture. The clouds seem to separate two different realities. The earth was dark, and the clouds grew darker and darker. The wind began to blow; thunder and lightening appeared, then came the rain. It poured down sheets of rain. While all the time, the other peaceful world existed above the clouds. The Lord explained to me that above the clouds was a symbol of walking in the Spirit, where there is light; there is peace; there is praise. Below the clouds, where the storm was, is like walking in the world, in the flesh, where there are troubles and storms. He said it was our choice as to where we choose to walk, above or below. Then He reminded me of Peter, when he walked on the water; the storm was all around him, but he was able to walk above the waves, when he walked by faith, keeping his eyes on Jesus. When he looked away to see his circumstances, he sank into the stormy sea. Maintaining our eyes on Jesus and walking in faith, trusting in Him, enables us to walk in the Spirit, above the storms of life.
